The water utilities data problem is different than I thought

The development of Preventos' water management services most often begins with a customer-oriented approach. Discussions with the utility's network managers and engineers have given me a perspective on what is wanted from the services.
The starting point usually is that there is a goal in network management, for example, reducing the amount of leakage water, which you want to solve with clear, implementable measures so that the process takes place in an optimal order.
For us as a service provider, this means that we must first form an overall picture of the network and the available information and data. Only then can we form an understanding of the data processes that can be used to develop management. We must be able to concretize the measures to be taken and show the results to be achieved.
Network measurement data is only part of the whole. Understanding the network structure and its asset management features is at least as important — only then can the optimal path for network management be determined.
Development work continues, but now the goal is clear and the necessary intermediate steps are concrete.
